That is how it started.....me saying "Are you REALLY climbing out of your crib?! Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!"

I thought I had more time. I wasn't prepared for the panic that set in. How could I keep her safe? She wasn't ready for a toddler bed. I was definitely not ready for a toddler bed!! I began the search for a safe way to keep my daughter in her crib at night. Several friends offered suggestions - from tying her down, to duct tape, to crib tents. None of these options were viable (obviously in some cases! hah!)

So now what?? After watching her for several evenings, I noticed how she would hike her leg up to hook her foot over the top bar. I had to find a way to stop that, without restricting her too much. I had the idea for this sleeper and it all snowballed from there. :)

I hand stitched the first few (they were sad, but serviceable) and realized I was onto something. I begged my mother to teach me how to use a sewing machine and how to cut patterns. Now - here I am! Thanks Mom! :-)

****Update**** My own little Naughty Monkey, my inspiration for this company, is now almost 10! The years have flown by and she amazes me every single day! Thanks to this sleeper, she was able to stay in her crib safely up until she was about 3 1/2 and wearing a 4T!

I am happy to report that we had zero escapes the entire time she was in The Naughty Monkey Sleeper and I was able to sleep soundly knowing that she was safe! :-) Hooray sleep!!!
